There are some stunningly beautiful parts of Wales.

Permbrokeshire Coastal Path

The drive from Camarthen to Cardigan Bay.

Carnavon

Snowdonia

That's just for starters - and despite the local two- and four-legged populations.

Yes of course the Welsh have so much to be proud of like er, like um? Coal! There you go. The Welsh gave us coal and now we are still suffering from the pollution....

Re: Welsh people with chips on their shoulders about the English
I think it's reached a point where the younger generation of Jock's and Taff's hate the English because it's just something they are told to do. They probably don't even know why. Nor, in fact, do the older generation probably.

I find it all a bit pathetic. They make me laugh when they talk about passion of fans and all that crap. So what? They like singing. That's probably because 90% of the time they are drunk to block out the reality of the utter shit hole that they live in.

Don't really think it's a problem - after all, they've had a GERMAN prince, like, forever.

Personally I'd take it out of countries hands and require the manager to have the same qualifications as the players as to nationality.
Maybe you might allow countries outside the top 100 to appoint a foreign manager.

Was he asked about ENGLISHMEN or was that in response to a general enquiry about the next Welsh manager?
I'd appoint Ryan Giggs so we can stop this boring thing of him being linked with lots of jobs and see how GREAT he is. Or isn't.

Bruno, same here, but banter's one thing, unending provincialism becomes a pain in the neck after a while.

I quite like it, nothing wrong with a good bit of banter and being a grown man I don't care if someone hates me or not, regardless of their reasons

Re: Welsh people with chips on their shoulders about the English
I worked for a year in Cardiff. I really couldn't give a hoot about Welsh nationalism, but two colleagues were ultra nationalist and were forever slagging off England. When I left, I put a leek and a carrot in one of their pigeon holes (the fellow had ginger hair) and a leak and packet of laxatives in the other fellow's.

I'm not sure that winds them up at all Eddie, in fact we should be more gutted about that seeing as he might have helped us be a lot better during his career.

What was the thought process behind this thread, did you think everyone would be whooping and cheering in support of this load of old bollocks?

Andy Murray never said he wanted England to lose

Oooooooh let me think, that will really upset a Welshman. I mean look at the trophies Giggs would have won playing for England rather than Wales.

Re: Welsh people with chips on their shoulders about the English
How to wind a Welshman up - Just claim rather loudly that Ryan Giggs made a massive mistake in choosing not to represent England.
